Welcome to Tradeet (operated by Tradeet Vendhub Limited, RC-7140889, Nigeria). This Privacy Policy explains how Tradeet collects, processes, and protects personal data when you interact with our web application, merchant dashboard, WhatsApp-integrated storefronts, and automated conversational assistants.
By registering a store, clicking any Tradeet catalog link, or transacting through our platform, you acknowledge the terms outlined in this document pursuant to the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and international data protection standards.
Information We Collect
Tradeet serves two primary user categories: Merchants (sellers operating WhatsApp storefronts) and Buyers/Customers (shoppers browsing and ordering from stores).
A. For Merchants
- Identity: Full name, registered business name, and official verification details.
- Contact Info: Phone number (WhatsApp number), email address, and physical business premises.
- Financial Details: Nigerian bank account number, bank name, and payout routing tags (for automated settlement).
- Catalog & Sales: Product photos, pricing, stock levels, sales receipts, and generated invoices.
B. For Customers / Buyers
- Order Details: Delivery address, recipient name, phone number, and product specifications.
- Conversational Data: Chat logs with the Tradeet WhatsApp store assistant regarding an order.
- Payment Metadata: Bank transfer confirmation status, session reference, and payment verification timestamps. (We never store card CVV or PIN numbers).

We process your data only when permitted by law under the following bases:
Contractual Necessity
To host your catalog, process orders, issue official receipts, and route bank payments.
Legitimate Interest
To detect fraud, prevent fake alert scams, ensure platform stability, and optimize AI chat responsiveness.

Data Retention & Permanent Deletion
- Active Accounts: Data remains accessible throughout the lifecycle of your store to provide real-time reporting, receipts, and order tracking.
- Financial & Invoicing Records: Preserved for 7 years in compliance with Nigerian tax regulations and financial audit requirements.
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time via Delete My Account. Storefronts are taken offline immediately, and associated personal profiles are wiped.
